Welcome to Waterford Township...

Welcome to Waterford Township, Michigan, a great place to live, work and visit! Established in 1834, Waterford is centrally located in Oakland County with a population of 71,707.  It’s the fifth largest Township by population in Michigan. We are a “Lakeland Paradise” with 34 lakes and have much to offer residents, businesses and visitors alike.

Waterford Memorial Day Parade

Waterford's Memorial Day Parade will take place Monday, May 25th at 10am. The parade begins on Dixie Hwy. at Sashabaw Rd. leaving from the Burke Lumber parking lot, and travels north on Dixie until it ends at the Drayton Plains Cemetery located at Dixie and Williams Lake Rd./Walton. Following the parade is a Memorial Day ceremony for fallen soldiers. The parade is coordinated by the Heart of the Lakes VFW Post 1008. For information, please contact 248-674-2826.

Memorial Day - Township Offices Closed

Waterford Township Offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th. Emergency services are available.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the business hours at Township Hall and the DPW are:
Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM

Saturday May 30, 2015 9am to Noon. Waterford Coalition for Youth in collaboration with the Waterford Township Police Department is encouraging the community to drop off their expired, excess, or unused prescription medication to help promote a safe and healthy way of life for the youth in our community! The Waterford Civic Center grounds will get a new addition to campus Monday, June 8, 2015 - an analemmatic sundial.
