The 51st District Court has two judges: Richard D. Kuhn, Jr. and Jodi Debbrecht Switalski and a full support staff including a Court Administrator, Deputy Court Administrator and four Department Supervisors.  Additionally, Magistrates assist the Judges on Wednesday afternoons with afterhours search warrant requests.

Traffic: processes citations written by police departments.
Civil: handles cases that involve money or damage claims and landlord/tenant disputes.

Probation: responsible for supervision of probationers, conducting pre-sentence investigations, alcohol assessments and probation violation hearings.

The 51st District Court processes approximately 20,000 to 25,000 cases per year.  Click here to visit the Michigan State Court Administrator's website for more information on Caseload.  Additionally, the Court's Budget may be viewed by clicking here.
