What is the floodplain? A floodplain is an area adjacent to a river, stream, or waterway that may flood. In support of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) identifies flood hazard areas throughout the U.S. producing Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). Several areas of flood hazards are commonly identified on these maps. Below you will find the FIRMs that comprise Waterford Township. To determine which map is needed for a specific area, open the INDEX. From here, you will be able to locate the property and appropriate FIRM for that location. 26125C0329F 26125C0333F 26125C0334F 26125C0337F 26125C0339F 26125C0341F 26125C0342F 26125C0343F 26125C0344F 26125C0353F 26125C0354F 26125C0361F 26125C0362F 26125C0363F 26125C0364F 26125C0477F 26125C0481F 26125C0482F 26125C0501F 26125C0502F FIRMs are also available for review in the Building and Engineering Department.
