Rescue Truck

All the specialized training the Waterford Fire Fighters possess, and all the sophisticated equipment they utilize, would be worthless without the capability of getting themselves and their equipment to the scene of an emergency.

The Waterford Fire Department has established it's own Vehicle Committee consisting of knowledgeable, highly qualified emergency vehicle experts.  This committee is responsible for determining the Department's vehicle needs, establishing vehicle specifications, purchasing and procurement of each vehicle.

Furthermore, committee members oversee the Department's vehicle maintenance program by developing maintenance schedules, implementing preventive maintenance programs and maintaining detailed vehicle and maintenance records.

Every day at the beginning of each shift every truck is inspected, checked and re-checked to ensure it functions properly, is fully stocked and ready for the next emergency call.  If any deficiency is found it is immediately corrected, repaired and/or replaced.
