Name That Waterford K-9 Contest

K9Dog-2.JPG
The Waterford Township Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in naming their newest K-9 member. The police dog will partner up with Officer Annette Miller next month and work as a team in the Road Patrol Division. Funding for the dog was made possible through grants, donations, and drug forfeiture monies.

This will give the Department two active K-9 teams. Officer Brian Illingworth and K-9 “Bandit” teamed up in the department back in 2007, and currently work road patrol on the afternoon shift. Bandit was named through a similar contest.

If you would like to participate in the department’s “Name That Waterford K-9” contest, please send your name suggestion and why you believe the name is appropriate to the Waterford Police Department at:

Waterford Township Police Department
Attention: Sgt. Kevin Kazyak
5150 Civic Center Drive
Waterford Michigan 48329

Or you can E-mail suggestions to:  kkazyak@twp.waterford.mi.us

The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate from a local business and have their photograph taken with the K-9 team.
Contest entries should be submitted no later than May 10, 2010.
