Special Assessment Public Comment
In November, there will be a Special Assessment District request for the Police Department on the ballot. If approved by the voters, the Special Assessment will generate $3,594,224 for the Waterford Police Department Operations.
As a function of the Waterford Police Department, we continue to reach out and connect with the community to solve problems and build partnerships. Our first priority will be putting more officers on the street and in our neighborhoods as well as recalling nine (9) laid off police officers back to duty, restoring jail operations, record bureau hours and restore investigators to investigate criminal and drug complaints.
Policing our community is a partnership and we would like to thank all of you who contacted us and attended the public hearing on September 10, 2012.
Please continue to send your ideas and suggestions to wtpdsad@twp.waterford.mi.us
