Congressman Bentivolio Mobile Office in Waterford
Congressman Kerry Bentivolio's mobile office is coming to Waterford May 20-24, 2013. The mobile unit will be hosted at the Recreation Center (former CAI building) at 5640 Williams Lake Rd. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The main purpose of the mobile office is to assist local constituents that are having delays or problems working with a federal agency.

Police Records Bureau Hours of Operation
Tuesday, May 28th, 2013 the Police Records Bureau will be closed for staff training. The Bureau will hold special hours Wednesday, May 29th from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to serve the public.
Regular business hours for the Records Bureau are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Waterford Township Fireworks Ordinance
Please be aware of the Waterford Township ordinance to adopt Fireworks regulations to conform with and exercise authority under the Michigan Fireworks Safety Act., Public Act No. 256 of 2011, as amended.
Consumer fireworks may only be ignited, discharged or used in the township on the day preceding, of, and after a national holiday.

Waterford Connect will be used to disseminate important messages regarding the safety or welfare of the community including weather warnings and updates, lost children or seniors, water service emergencies and hazardous situations that impact safety, property or welfare of our citizens.

Prescription Drug Drop Off Day
Thursday May 30, 2013 9am to Noon. Waterford Coalition for Youth in collaboration with the Waterford Township Police Department is encouraging the community to drop off their expired, excess, or unused prescription medication to help promote a safe and healthy way of life for the youth in our community!
This event allows residents to drive up and drop off at the curbside: no papers to sign, no questions asked.

The Waterford Regional Fire Department awarded a $7.6 million SAFER (Staffing Adequate Fire Emergency Response) grant allowing the department to hire 39 firefighters for a 2 year period.

The Michigan Department of Transporation is investing approximately $19.2 million to resurface 9 miles of US-24 from just south of Telegraph Rd to just north of I-75.
