Citizen's Guide and Performance Dashboard
Michigan Public Act 63 of 2011 introduced the Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP) as a component of the State Shared Revenue Program. EVIP has three components that eligible municipalities currently report on. The first category is Accountability and Transparency which requires communities to present a Citizen's Guide to Local Finances, a Performance Dashboard, a Budget Projection and a Debt Service Schedule. The second category is Consolidation of Services which requires communities to present a document that includes current and past cooperative, collaborative and consolidation efforts. The third category centers on Employee Compensation.
The EVIP information is presented in addition to the financial data that Waterford Township has previously presented through annual budgets and Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports. EVIP will supplement, not replace, these documents.
