Founded
in 1953, 2003 marked our department's 50th Anniversary of service to the
people of Waterford!
As
the photos show, we have come a long way since those early days! Our
new building is located near Township Hall and
the 51st District Court in the Waterford Civic Center
Complex.
The department is currently staffed by
77 sworn
officers and 29 civilian support staff. In addition to patrol duties,
our officers staff several specialized units including a Special
Response Team, Motor Unit, Honor Guard and K9 Unit.
